PICK UP
Toward CEDEC2026
In last year’s CEDEC2025, we held the CEDEC Lightning and Town Hall Meeting as part of our new efforts.
I am very pleased that we were able to engage in passionate communication with participants, with a liveliness
similar to that of the initial spark that drives game development.
Our sessions were also filled with even more diverse participants, who advanced new concepts and values, which left
a lasting impression on me.
With the hope to even further advance experiences and values such as these at CEDEC 2026, together with the
Planning Committee, we selected “Co-Create” as our theme among a wide selection of candidates.
Co-Create is a concept that relates to and connects us all, whether it be an individual from a large team, an
independent creator, or a close partner providing support.
At CEDEC, we aspire to bring together all people who wish to create even better games and contents. We want to
provide a space that encourages people of different positions and circumstances to exchange thoughts and opinions,
so as to fuel creativity and motivation.
In order to do so, we will also aim to advance an even more open organization, so that CEDEC itself can benefit
from co-creation as well. We welcome participants to share their passion and thoughts on CEDEC in the process!
Let’s create CEDEC2026 together!

Precautions for CEDEC2026
For CEDEC2026, we plan to use a hybrid format that combines lectures at the venue with live online streaming and time-shifted streaming. (*We plan to hold roundtables, interactive sessions, workshops, and lightning talk sessions at the venue only.)
When submitting a session application, speakers will be asked to select their presentation method from the following three options.
- Going to the venue to present (on-site presentation)
- Providing pre-recorded videos (video presentation)
- Giving a presentation remotely (on ZOOM) (remote presentation)
The selection will be finalized after youʼve been accepted and we receive your consent to speak. At that time, we will again confirm that you are willing to give the presentation, and ask you to decide on the presentation method.
However, we may consult you about the presentation method, depending on the operating logistics moving forward. Thank you for your understanding in advance as you make your application.
