CEDEC Steering Committee Chairman Kazunobu Uehara
Computer entertainment has continued to evolve and change recently.
Arguably the pace of this change was even faster than ever in 2013.
Through increases in sophistication, cost reduction and openness in hardware and the software development environment, huge changes are occurring in development and computer entertainment itself.
Surrounding that environment, needless to say there are many things such as social networking, cloud computing, global Gamejams and the independent market that didn't exist before, but have now become the norm.
On top of that, the environments and views of each of our customers who enjoy the works we produce are also rapidly changing.
In these circumstances, what we computer entertainment developers should be looking for is not how to stick to the ways that got us here, but a desire to absorb new techniques, knowledge and methods, think of new ideas and then to "Go for it".
The theme for CEDEC 2014 will be "Go for it!"
CEDEC is short for the Computer Entertainment Developers Conference.
It is a conference for computer entertainment developers to gather and promote the exchange of techniques and human resources.
The meaning of "Go for it!" is to break from a conservative mindset and try new things one after the other.
Through CEDEC, all participants will come into contact with new techniques and information, receive ideas from new people and acquaintances, and try out all sorts of new things.
CEDEC is that kind of place. To first time visitors and those who have been listeners until now, why not step up and present a talk that will give inspiration to many kinds of people?
From February 1st to March 31st, we are looking for session speakers for the conference.
Start a new movement beginning with "You"!
