The attendee will learn about many tools that are available to them to help them build their games more quickly. They will learn about existing techniques and technologies, as well as future technologies which may help them develop their games in new ways.

Middleware use in games is growing increasingly popular in the West. As the videogame industry has grown, each sector of the industry has created special tools specific to its needs. How can you take advantage of these tools? What technologies are coming soon to help you build your next game?

    Mark coordinates game strategy and outreach efforts as developer advocate for the videogame industry at Google. He is also the creator of the Game Programming Gems series of books. As a passionate proponent for making videogame development simpler and less expensive, Mark has worked in technology leadership positions at Sony, Nintendo and Ubisoft, as well as editor-in-chief of Game Developer magazine.

    Mark currently sits on the boards of directors for the International Game Developers Association and game charity OneBigGame. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
